Subject to Change- Hyperreality and the Godpixel is the culmination of over 2 years of investigation and development.
The genesis of Subject to Change- Hyperreality and the Godpixel begins with two portraits of the same subject. These two images differ in time or expression. Sequences of 401 digitally interpolated frames bridging the original photographs were created. This is the moment of revelation, the creation of a wholly unique image- the Godpixel. Pixels travelling towards each other from either end of the timeline collide in a moment of superposition. This is the moment of revelation, the creation of a wholly unique image- the Godpixel. Finally the two original images are removed from the sequence. What remains, what you are witnessing, never previously existed.
In Subject to Change- Hyperreality and the Godpixel the photograph doesn’t stop at the press of a button. These are the first incarnation of Metaversal Portraits.
What you are seeing is a composition derived from two portraits taken at different times. From these portraits an interpolated sequence was created bridging the two images. The originals were removed and what remains never previously existed. What you see is not reality… it is hyperreality. The gold mesh is the moment of superposition when the two images collide creating the Godpixel.
Subject To Change is a collection of 14 works each comprising +10 second 8K digital videos (NFTs), 58mp Godpixel NFTs, signed Limited Edition Godpixel prints and morph lenticular prints.
